PocketPDF is developed by an independent developer, Ayush Srivastava. Contact: ayushsrivastava47@gmail.com.
Every tool in PocketPDF — merge, split, compress, rotate, lock/unlock, images ↔ PDF, scan, organize pages, page numbers, watermark, fill & sign, extract text (OCR), and batch compress — runs entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded, read, or stored by us.
The one exception is PDF → Word: when a cloud conversion service is configured, the PDF you choose to convert is sent to our conversion backend and, in turn, to our conversion provider (ConvertAPI) solely to produce the .docx file, and is not retained afterward. If no cloud service is configured, or the request fails, PDF → Word instead extracts text on-device into a .rtf file and nothing is sent anywhere.
None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit your personal files off your device.
PocketPDF is ad-supported using Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location, and app usage data to serve and measure ads. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms. A rewarded ad is used to unlock the free PDF → Word conversion; watching it is optional.
If you buy "Remove Ads," the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment details — only a purchase confirmation used to disable ads on your device.
Your recent-files list, app theme, and purchase status are stored only on your device (not on any server) and are cleared if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
We do not require an account, do not collect your name, email, or contacts, and do not read files other than the one you explicitly open or convert.
PocketPDF is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
